Miss Jerri was my first riding instructor when we moved to Hawaii. She had a quarter horse there named Reb and she let me use him for my lessons.
Miss Jerri was the most amazing person. She was a hero to many of us and she showed us a love for the horses that continues even today!
I love you Miss Jerri!

I met Miss Jerri when I started volunteering at the Camp Smith Stables on Oahu around 1983. I was stationed at KMCAS. Miss Jerri was an incredible woman. So fun to be around and work with. Caring for the horses. The fun times we had playing "cowboy polo" and other games in the arena. The Dinner Rides we did and guiding trail rides. I miss her very much.
I met Miss Jerri when she arrived at the Quantico stables to try and save a sinking ship. I had no idea that when she arrived she would change the coarse of my life forever. She took my passion for horses and trained me in horse care and horse behavior like no one else had ever done before. To this day I credit her for making me the horseman I am today. I was a 20 something mother of 3 with almost no direction and she focused me in and took me under her wing. I am eternally grateful for being allowed to spend even just a short time in her presence. I miss her every day but know she is watching over me.
